New Website Launched
The all new NAMCBC website was launch at the NEC by The chairman, Steve Saunders (centre), vice chairman Steve Allen (left) and the man who designed and built it from Wire Wheels Webbers, Brian Humphreys (right).
The excellent national classic motor show was the chosen exhibition for the launch, and the Rover P6 Club stand kindly set the venue. Chairman Steve Saunders said ‘’although the National Association of Motor Car and Bike Clubs is for clubs of all forms makes and models of cars and bikes old and new, the heritage and enthusiasm associated with classic cars seemed to be the right setting for us to launch what is a great and unique website with its own interactive TV channel. We know that the NAMCBC is an exciting and genuinely unique organisation for all vehicles and bike clubs to enjoy amongst other things buying power, reviews, legal advice, discounts and to meet like-minded people and of course the great thing is its FREE to join. We would like to say a big thank you to The Rover P6 Club for making us feel so welcome and being our site for the launch, they are of course are members of the NAMCBC. Brian Humphreys from Wire Wheels Webbers has done an amazing job with the website and I’m sure there is plenty of features to keep you updated with the world of cars and bikes.’’
Steve Allen who is vice chairman and oversees social media for the NAMCBC including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (if you’re not following us do it now!) added “There are so many official clubs, some formal others less so, formed from a group of local enthusiasts that meet for drive/ride weekly or monthly, often not even associated with a particular manufacturer, just enjoying their pride and joy. We welcome any club that has a passion for transport that consists of an ‘engine and wheels’ to join free of charge. All the clubs members can post diary events large and small to promote nationally for everyone to see and attend. How many times have you been away for a weekend and you pass an event full of interesting vehicles? With our event diary you can look in advance for anything of interest in that area large or small. You can also submit your experience of a particular event and post a review and photo’s for others to see and read – funny photos and stories will of course get priority! All your club’s members will benefit from the special offers from suppliers of services, parts, accessories, insurance, motoring legal advice etc. What is there to lose…….it’s Free?”
Brian Humphreys, the website designer/developer and NAMCBC online coordinator said “I am delighted to be a part of Team NAMCBC. The twenty-first century is an exciting time for car and bike clubs, especially in the ever broadening field of online and social media. We have an enormous opportunity to bring everyone together into a vast community of like-minded enthusiasts, and with that comes help and support, sharing of ideas, advertising our events and our cars/bikes. The NAMCBC is set to become the hub of the car and bike club community.
